Conor McGregor’s son Rian wears Manchester United shirt with dad amid fighter’s interest in Chelsea

Conor McGregor shared photos with his son Rian wearing a Manchester United shirt on Instagram tonight after Cristiano Ronaldo fired the Red Devils for a 3-2 win over Tottenham earlier today.

Rian can be seen waving to the camera as UFC ace McGregor smiles for the photo.

The Crumlin cagefighter is enjoying a vacation in the sun with his family as he continues his recovery from a horrific broken leg suffered in the loss to Dustin Poirier last summer.

The Notorious have previously spoken of their support for the Old Trafford club, but recently expressed an interest in buying Chelsea – now that Blues owner Roman Abramovich has been sanctioned by the UK government and the club is on sale.

McGregor is highly unlikely to secure a deal to buy the Premier League giants but insists he is serious about the offer.

He said: “I’m not kidding. I’m exploring this, as I said. Dermot Desmond’s Celtic, Glaziers’ Manchester United and now Chelsea Football Club recently put up for sale.

“Everything is being explored. A football franchise buyout is in my future, make no mistake about it.

“I play everyday. How could I not lead a team of dedicated young athletes to glory. I’m perfect for the job. Pray this is your team.”

Chelsea are in the process of being sold, but UK government sanctions mean Russian owner Abramovich will not be allowed to profit from a potential sale.

British billionaire Nick Candy, Swiss tycoon Hansjorg Wyss and American investor Todd Boehly are all interested in buying the decorated London club.
