Frederico Chiesa put the Italians ahead before Alvaro Morata equalized the game with a late equalizer.
But it was Juventus forward Morata who missed the crucial penalty as Italy sealed their place in Sunday’s decisive game.
The UK government has increased the permitted capacity at Wembley to 75% for the semi-finals and finals of the competition.
This meant that over 60,000 fans were in London to watch one of the tournament’s most biting matches.
And among cheering Italian fans, keen-eyed viewers could spot a fan wearing a Kerry GAA jersey.
The moment came shortly after Chiesa’s brilliant curling shot found the back of the net to spark wild scenes at Wembley.

While another social media user wrote: “There is always a Kerry swimsuit. You could be over the moon and meet someone with a Kerry swimsuit on it.”
Spotting Kerry’s jerseys at major sporting events has become a tradition for viewers, and people regularly wear them at Masters Golf in Augusta, Georgia every year.
