Quinn Ewers heads to New Jersey for Ohio State vs Rutgers
Ohio State First Year quarterback Quinn Ewers made the trip to Piscataway, New Jersey, Saturday for the Buckeyes’ second Big Ten game of the season.
Ewers, who enrolled at Ohio State in August after decide late to skip senior season at Southlake Carroll High School in Texas, was not on the Buckeyes’ travel list to Minnesota earlier this season.
Ewers arrived late at training camp, the result of some procedural hurdles after leaving high school prematurely.

Coach Ryan Day said Ewers was injured shortly thereafter. This news would appear to be a sign that things are starting to turn in the right direction for the real freshman.

Ewers is one of four freshmen in the Ohio State Quarterback Hall. Redshirt freshman CJ Stroud is the starter, but he missed Akron’s game with a shoulder injury.
Real freshman Kyle McCord started in his place and was the best rookie in the conference last week against the Zips.
Jack Miller, a freshman in a red shirt also played against the Zips.
Ryan Day admitted that Quinn Ewers is behind
Before Akron’s game, Day admitted that Ewers’ transition was difficult.
“I think he would tell you that it was tough for him to kind of jump into this thing in the preseason and then be out for a bit,” Day said.
Ewers was the highest-rated quarterback in the 2022 recruiting class before he reclassified and entered this season. He subsequently made headlines when he signed a approval deal would be worth $ 1.4 million.
