William A. “Invoice” Gehringer, 84, of Altoona, died Monday at UPMC Altoona. He was born in Reading, the son of

the late Clemonth P. and Anna (Dale) Gehringer.

On July 4, 1959, Bill married Gloria M. Colabove.

Surviving are his beloved wife of 62 years; two daughters, Andrea L. (Kevin) O’Grady and Annette L. (Randy) Reyer; one son, W. Alan (Vera) Gehringer; nine grandchildren: Jessica, Joshua and Jake Reyer, Maximillian and

Alexander Gehringer, Ryan, Ethan, Justin and Allison O’Grady; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by an infant son, David Paul; and a sister, Beatrice McCarthy.

Bill graduated in 1956 from Cresson High School.

He served in the US Army Reserve for six years.

Bill graduated as an electrical draftsman from Chicago Technical College in 1961. He retired in 2000 as co-owner and president of Tritex Sportswear Inc.

His greatest pleasure was spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. Bill also loved sports and was an avid golfer. He had a passion for planting flowers and tending to his garden.

Bill was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.

At the request of the deceased, private offices will be held at the convenience of the family.
